Where Hip-Hop Meets Worship: Reach Records Signs Atlanta's 2819 Worship

Atlanta-based worship collective becomes first worship team signed to a predominantly Christian hip-hop label

Reach Records, the GRAMMY Award-winning label founded by artist Lecrae, has signed 2819 Worship — the worship collective of Atlanta's 2819 Church — to its roster. The announcement was made during the church's Good Friday service.

2819 Church is led by Pastor Philip Anthony Mitchell and also counts on its roster artists Tedashii, Anike, Hulvey, and Trip Lee. Lonnell Williams serves as Executive Pastor of 2819 Church and COO of 2819 Worship.

The signing marks the first time a worship team has joined a predominantly Christian hip-hop label, a distinction both parties say carries significant weight.

"While our roots are in hip-hop, our mission has always been to create space for the full expression of faith music, message, and movement," said Lecrae. "There's a genuine alignment that makes this feel less like a partnership and more like a shared calling."

Williams echoed that sentiment, framing the deal as one rooted in values over opportunity. "We weren't evaluating a label," he said. "We were evaluating alignment."

2819 Church has seen rapid growth in recent years, expanding from fewer than 200 weekly attendees in 2023 to approximately 6,000 today. In October, the church's ACCESS prayer event drew nearly 40,000 people to State Farm Arena. A song gaining traction ahead of the collective's official label debut, "For Christ Alone," has already surpassed one million impressions online.
