Tina Turner’s Niece, Jacquline Bullock, to Attend Statue Unveiling in Brownsville
This September, fans of Tina Turner will once again gather in Brownsville, Tennessee, for Tina Turner Heritage Days, an annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of the Queen of Rock ’n Roll. This year’s event will carry even greater significance with the unveiling of a new bronze statue of Tina Turner, created by renowned sculptor Fred Ajanogha.
The statue, located in Heritage Park across from Carver High School where Tina first attended classes, will serve as both a tribute to her roots and a source of inspiration for generations to come.
Among those attending the unveiling is Jacquline Bullock, Tina Turner’s niece, who holds a unique perspective on the star’s remarkable journey. Bullock grew up surrounded by music as the daughter of Alline Bullock—Tina’s sister, songwriter, and manager of the Ikettes. During her childhood, she lived for extended periods in the Los Angeles home of Ike and Tina Turner, giving her firsthand insight into the rise of one of music’s most electrifying acts.
While leading a more private life than her legendary aunt, Bullock has made public appearances in support of preserving Tina Turner’s legacy, including on OWN’s Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s. Today, she stands as the last surviving family member directly tied to Tina Turner’s full life story.
She will join Tina’s longtime musical director Ollie Marland, Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour dancer Ferly Prado, music industry colleagues, and devoted fans for the unveiling ceremony.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Park, 709 East Jefferson Street, Brownsville, TN.
