Lenox and Parker had the pleasure of attending an unforgettable evening as O’Neal McKnight celebrated his milestone 50th birthday in true style. The night was a perfect reflection of the multi-talented entertainer—filled with music, dancing, heartfelt moments, and a room full of love from family and close friends.

The celebration kicked off with a vibrant energy that only O’Neal could curate. Among the notable guests were comedian and actor JB Smoove and wife, actress and singer Shahidah Omar, along with (Pass the Mic) DJ Cassidy, DJ Iesha Irene, journalist Sharon Carpenter, recording artist Greg "Olskool Ice-Grē" Lewis," and legendary choreographer Laurieann Gibson, just to name a few.

The dance floor was the heart of the party, and O’Neal didn’t just host—he performed! He electrified the crowd with an impromptu performance of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean before bringing back his own pop hit, Check Your Coat. Every move, every note, was a testament to his showmanship and passion for entertainment.

One of the night’s most touching moments came when DJ Cassidy—O’Neal’s best friend of over 20 years—offered a heartfelt toast, celebrating their bond and his incredible journey. The love continued as Miriam McKnight and their two daughters surprised O’Neal with a stunning birthday cake, leading the entire crowd in a chorus of “Happy Birthday.”

As the evening wound down, DJ Ieasha Irene passed the mic to DJ Cassidy, keeping the party alive with classic hits and nostalgic moments that had everyone reminiscing. Before the night ended, O’Neal took a moment of gratitude, honoring the presence of his loved ones and acknowledging those who were there in spirit—his late mother and cousin, music mogul Andre Harrell.

It was more than a birthday party; it was a celebration of legacy, love, and the joy of being surrounded by the people who matter most. O’Neal McKnight ushered in 50 with the same energy, style, and charisma that have defined his career—proving that some stars only shine brighter with time.
