Shark Tank Star and business mogul Daymond John hosted his 5th annual Black Entrepreneurs Day last night live at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The 5th annual event welcomed thousands of guests onsite, streamed to millions at home.


Celebrating Black business the event also awarded three Black owned businesses with NAACP courtesy of event sponsors Hilton, T-Mobile for Business and Constant Contact!




Guests Kelly Rowland, Jordan Chiles, Charlamagne Tha God, Flav Flava, Rahad Bilal and Troy Milings took the stage to share their own entrepreneur journeys. And Atalanta’s own, 2 Chainz closed up the event with a 30 minute set that had the crowd on their feet.

Three black owned businesses were awarded a grant of 25K:

Local Salt Lake City Black-owned business, Parfé Diem, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and T-Mobile for Business, who sponsored the grant. Owner Parker D. Barbee plans to use the funds to grow his gourmet dessert shop, which specializes in pudding, and continue following his passion for creating delicious treats.

Local Columbia, SC Black-owned business, GaBBY Bows, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and Constant Contact, who sponsored the grant. Mother and Daughter Owning Duo,Rozalynn & Gabby Goodwin (+ local Columbia, SC residents), will continue to ignite girls' confidence, one barrette at a time with the help from this grant.

Local Brooklyn Black-owned business, Vontélle, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and Hilton, who sponsored the grant. Owners Nancey Harris & Tracy Green are aiming to provide beauty and size inclusivity to all eyeglass wearers! They have partnered with the NYC department of education to provide eyewear to foster, homeless, and immigrant children across the 5 boroughs.
