We’re based in Columbia, South Carolina, and we proudly serve the surrounding areas.

How long have you been in business, and what products or services do you offer?

Founded in 2019, we offer full-service event planning, event design, décor styling, coordination, and premium event rentals for weddings, corporate events, milestone celebrations, galas, baby showers, birthdays, and private events.

What inspired you to start this business, and what problem were you hoping to solve?

I’ve always had a passion for bringing people together and creating beautiful, meaningful experiences. I started Moments & Memories Party & Decor because I saw the need for a full-service event planning company that not only delivers elegant, customized designs but also provides clients with peace of mind by managing every detail with professionalism, creativity, and care. Seeing the joy of guests making memories in an environment that I created is food for my soul.

What has been the biggest challenge you've faced as an entrepreneur, and how did you overcome it?

One of the biggest challenges has been educating clients on the value behind professional event planning and luxury design. I overcame that by consistently delivering exceptional service, building strong relationships, and allowing the quality of my work and client experiences to speak for themselves.

Was there a defining moment when you realized your business was becoming successful? Tell me about it.

The defining moment wasn’t tied to one event—it was when clients began returning for multiple celebrations and referring their family, friends, and colleagues without hesitation. Seeing our work create lasting memories while earning the trust and loyalty of our clients confirmed that we weren’t just decorating events; we were building a brand rooted in excellence and meaningful relationships.

What makes your business different from everyone else in your industry?

We don’t simply decorate events—we create experiences that reflect each client’s unique story and leave a lasting impression on every guest. Our commitment to personalized service, attention to detail, and seamless execution ensures every celebration feels intentional, elegant, and unforgettable.

What's one lesson you've learned in business that every entrepreneur should know?

Success isn’t built overnight; it’s built through consistency, integrity, and the willingness to keep growing even when no one is watching. Every challenge is an opportunity to improve your craft and strengthen the foundation of your business.

How has your business impacted your customers or your local community?

We’ve had the privilege of helping families, businesses, and organizations celebrate some of life’s most meaningful milestones with confidence and peace of mind. Mentoring youth and providing community service are extremely rewarding. Giving back to our community is something we truly believe in. Knowing we’ve created lasting memories and brought people together through beautifully designed experiences is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

What does a typical day look like for you behind the scenes that most people never get to see?

Behind every beautiful event is countless hours of planning, designing, sourcing décor, coordinating vendors, organizing logistics, and ensuring every detail is flawless before guests arrive. While our clients experience the magic, we’re working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs effortlessly from beginning to end.

What's the biggest misconception people have about your business or your industry?

Many people believe event planning is simply decorating a venue, when in reality it’s managing logistics, timelines, vendors, budgets, problem-solving, and creating a seamless guest experience. What clients see is the finished masterpiece, but what they don’t see is the strategy, preparation, and expertise that make it all possible.

Where do you see your business in the next three to five years, and what are you building toward?

Over the next three to five years, I envision Moments & Memories Party & Decor becoming one of the premier luxury event planning companies in South Carolina, known for exceptional service and unforgettable designs. We also envision providing mentorship programs and a safe place for young entrepreneurs to explore their creativity. I’m building a legacy centered on excellence, expanding our offerings, mentoring future professionals, and creating experiences that clients remember for a lifetime.
