ABFF Honors 2026: A Night Where Legacy, Excellence, and Culture Took Center Stage

Despite the rain falling softly over Beverly Hills, nothing could dampen the brilliance inside the ballroom of the SLS Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Beverly Hills. The 2026 ABFF Honors proved once again that Black excellence does not wait for perfect weather — it creates its own climate. Presented by the American Black Film Festival, ABFF Honors is the festival’s prestigious, non-competitive awards season gala celebrating outstanding achievements in film and television.

Established in 2016, the ceremony was designed to recognize Black artists who have significantly shaped American entertainment while also championing inclusion within Hollywood. Unlike traditional award shows, there are no winners or losers here — only reverence, respect, and recognition across generations.

Hosted with charisma and comedic timing by KevOnStage, the evening felt less like a competition and more like a family reunion of icons, innovators, and rising stars.
