Today, the multifaceted artist Roger Mooking, known for his Juno Award-winning rap career, global recognition as a celebrity chef and restaurateur, best-selling author, and star of hit Food Network and Cooking Channel shows such as "Man Fire Food," "Everyday Exotic," and "Heat Seekers," proudly introduces his sixth rap album, "SOUNDBITES," accompanied by the release of a striking visual from the project, "I Can't Stand."

Roger Mooking, celebrated as a culinary visionary with a footprint spanning across North America through his restaurants, television appearances, and acclaimed books, initially embarked on his artistic journey as a groundbreaking rapper. He played a pivotal role in shaping Canada's contemporary Hip Hop scene, not only as a solo artist but also as a founding member of groups like Maximum Definitive and Bass is Base. Born in Trinidad and raised in Canada, this gifted Hip Hop lyricist boasts an impressive discography, including five albums, a Juno Award win, and multiple Juno Award nominations.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, Roger presents "SOUNDBITES," his sixth studio album. This musical endeavor takes inspiration from the astonishing fact that the average human attention span is a mere 8.25 seconds. "SOUNDBITES" stands as a lyrical masterpiece, featuring fleeting tracks that celebrate the essence of music, community, creativity, and chaos, while also delving into how time influences and defines our world, with a particular focus on the Black community's perspective. The album's structure mirrors the phases of life: the Learning, the Living, and the Leaving. Furthermore, "SOUNDBITES" serves as the enthralling soundtrack to Roger's upcoming book, "Curious Sounds: A Dialogue in Three Movements," slated for release on Tuesday, October 24th.
