Parrish Allen Debuts 90s Grown & Sexy R&B Track "Bed"
Harlem-born R&B newcomer Parrish Allen is making waves with his sultry debut single “Bed”, produced by viral hitmaker Hasani — and he’s not shy about wanting to turn up the heat in today’s love songs.
Smooth, soulful, and dripping with sensuality, “Bed” channels the golden era of ‘90s R&B — think Dave Hollister, Tank, and Musiq Soulchild — but with a fresh, modern twist. The track’s mission? To bring back passion, intention, and romance in an era where Allen says real connection is missing.
“I want a song that is sexy,” Allen tells us. “One that brings back men loving their woman down and valuing her… He’s gonna have to wine and dine, take her out, and treat her like she’s number one.”
The slow-burning track is the lead single from Allen’s upcoming 13-track debut album, I Am Parrish (Deluxe) — a project steeped in passion and storytelling. A full-length music video, directed by Polo Gibson, is on the way, promising a visual as steamy as the song itself.
Though this is his first official release, Allen’s R&B roots run deep. Raised in a home filled with soul records, he credits his mother and uncles for shaping his musical taste. But it was a conversation with his nephew — “Let’s do it,” Hasani told him — that pushed him to finally step into the spotlight.
With “Bed”, Parrish Allen isn’t just introducing himself — he’s throwing down the gauntlet, aiming to restore the slow jams that made listeners fall in love. And if this debut is any indication, romance in R&B might just be making a comeback.
