Instead of forcing pre-written lyrics, I now let the beat dictate the flow and delivery, which gives me more freedom. The biggest takeaway I want listeners to have is to work hard and hustle harder. I want people to focus on what they can control and create peace of mind. When you focus on that, everything else becomes more comfortable. It’s about staying grounded and remembering that success doesn’t come overnight, but with consistency.

The biggest misconception about me is probably my stage name. Most of my friends know me as Reggie because that's my real first name. Jarmar is actually my middle name, but I don’t think many people know that.

Jarmar Green:
My latest project, BLKPLATINUM, is a three-song collaboration with my cousin, Cephesto. It’s special because it's the first time I’ve worked with another MC, and the fact that it’s family makes it even more meaningful. Growing up together made the creative process smoother, and we really connected on a personal level, which made the music feel closer to home. There’s even the possibility of a BLKPLATINUM 2 in the future, so stay tuned!

If I could collaborate with any artist, it would have to be Kanye. I know he’s had his fair share of controversy, but nothing can outshine his work ethic and vision in the studio. That aligns with what I’m all about—being hands-on, putting in the work, and pushing boundaries. I believe that if I ever work with Kanye, it will take my music to the next level.

My favorite track is "Viewer Discretion." This was the project where I shifted my focus from progressive metal to rhythm and rap. The beat was crafted by my good friends J.Schell and CDAB, who played a huge part in helping me discover my sound. The project went through a rebrand, and it became a defining moment for me as an artist. It was also mixed and mastered by Alec J., who is now a full-time producer for some of the best musicians. This project really solidified Jarmar Green as an artist.

I’m super excited about my album BACKENDS, which will be dropping on January 28th, 2025. This project consists of 5 high-energy anthems that reflect my hustle and ambitions.
