Micheal Miller and Hope Marin PKA Generation Recovery were born two years apart in the great city of Los Angeles. Although they lived on opposite sides of town, with Mike in South Central and Hope in the Lawndale/Gardena area, the pair had its roots deep in the city; currently residing in South Bay. Growing up, they both had strong familial bonds and were homeschooled. Mike’s mom and sister supported him even without his dad or brother in the picture while Hope's family, especially her father, assisted in cultivating a strong love for music. As a teen, Mike would work on his craft as a wordsmith, learning from the greats and practicing whenever possible. Around the same age, Hope began singing and playing guitar in her bedroom as a way to get through mentally grueling days.

This song embodies what it means to be joyful no matter the circumstance.
