CEO Zaneta Williams of Eyeris Industries on Leading Sustainable Infrastructure and Breaking Barriers in Construction
In an industry where precision, capital strength, and operational excellence determine longevity, Zaneta Williams has carved out a powerful lane as a respected infrastructure executive.
As CEO of Eyeris Industries, she leads a growing multi million dollar construction management firm specializing in sustainable mechanical systems, infrastructure modernization, and carbon reduction strategies across federal, aviation, high rise, and public environments.
With more than 25 years of experience, Williams combines financial expertise, operational leadership, and sustainability driven strategy to deliver complex projects with discipline and measurable impact.
Q: What is the formal name of your company?
Zaneta Williams: “I am Zaneta Williams, CEO of Eyeris Industries, a construction management company.”
Q: What is the formal name of your industry?
Zaneta Williams: “I operate in the Construction and Public Infrastructure industry, specializing in sustainable mechanical systems and carbon reduction strategies for large scale facilities, including federal, aviation, high rise, and skyscraper environments.”
Q: What made you want to get into this field?
Zaneta Williams: “My background is in Finance and Economics, and I have always been driven to solve complex, high stakes operational challenges. Infrastructure sits at the intersection of engineering, compliance, and community impact.
Through Eyeris Industries, we specialize in mechanical systems, infrastructure modernization, and environmental response services within active public environments. I saw an opportunity to integrate financial strategy, operational excellence, and sustainability into an industry where minority women were significantly underrepresented at the executive level.
My goal has always been to build systems that function efficiently while reducing environmental impact and strengthening the communities they serve.”

Q: What year did you join this industry?
Zaneta Williams: “I entered the mechanical and construction services industry in 2001 in an executive operations role within a mechanical firm. In 2006, I founded Eyeris Industries Ltd., and by 2019, I had fully transitioned to lead the company in the public infrastructure sector.”
Q: What were some of the jobs you held in this industry before starting your own company?
Zaneta Williams: “Before fully transitioning into Eyeris Industries, I held executive operations leadership roles within the mechanical services sector. I served as Assistant Director and later Director of Operations at a mechanical firm, where I led strategic restructuring, operational transformation, and revenue expansion initiatives that drove significant growth and long term sustainability.
I also served as Chief Business Development Officer for a commercial services organization, where I developed strategic partnerships and drove expansion into new markets. Earlier in my career, I managed high level projects during MetLife’s historic IPO transition, which strengthened my ability to oversee complex budgets, regulatory coordination, and executive level operations.”
Q: What are some of the challenges you have as a female in a male dominated industry?
Zaneta Williams: “Construction and public infrastructure remain heavily male dominated, particularly at the executive and ownership level. One of the primary challenges is access to capital, bonding capacity, large scale contracts, and the decision making rooms where major opportunities are shaped.
Whether operating in private high rise environments, federal facilities, or public infrastructure projects, minority women often do not get second chances. The margin for error is smaller, and the scrutiny is higher.
I have learned that consistent performance, technical competence, and delivering complex projects safely and efficiently builds credibility that transcends perception. Excellence becomes your voice before you speak.”
Q: How many years are you in this industry?
Zaneta Williams: “I bring over 25 years of experience across construction, mechanical services, and complex infrastructure environments, including high rise, federal, and public facilities.”
Q: Where were you when you heard you were nominated for this award?
Zaneta Williams: “I was in the office managing project operations, exactly where I am most comfortable. It was a humbling reminder that consistent, disciplined work over time creates recognition.”
Q: Where do you see yourself in this industry in the next five years?
Zaneta Williams: “In the next five years, I see Eyeris operating as a multi state infrastructure leader, delivering larger and more complex construction and mechanical modernization projects across domestic markets, and selectively abroad where our sustainability driven expertise is in demand.
Our sustainability strategy is evolving toward circular economy principles, integrating construction, mechanical systems, environmental remediation, and responsible material reuse into a more cohesive infrastructure model.
Personally, I see myself expanding my mentorship platform under my Teach Back vs. Give Back philosophy, ensuring the next generation of minority leaders are equipped not just with opportunity, but with the strategic knowledge to build sustainable enterprises of their own.”
Q: Is there one thought you want to share with the audience upon receiving your honor?
Zaneta Williams: “There will be seasons where you must rebuild from what feels like nothing. I have lived that. Those moments are painful, but they shape you. Without adversity, we accomplish very little lasting value. If you refuse to quit, the setbacks that once felt devastating will become the very foundation of your strength.”
Q: Where can we follow you online?

Q: What is your average annual revenue?
Zaneta Williams: “Eyeris Industries is a growing multi million dollar construction and infrastructure firm with expanding operations across high rise, federal, and public environments.”
Q: What are some obstacles you faced that almost kept you out of this industry?
Zaneta Williams: “One of the greatest obstacles was access to capital, bonding capacity, insurance thresholds, and large scale opportunities. Public infrastructure requires significant financial strength before you are even considered, and those barriers disproportionately impact minority owned firms.
There were also moments of rebuilding, particularly during the pandemic, when major contracts were disrupted and we had to reset strategically. Starting over in any industry is humbling.
But those experiences strengthened our discipline, sharpened our strategy, and reinforced the importance of resilience in this field.”
As Zaneta Williams prepares to be honored during the 55th Annual Legislative Conference of the New York State Association of Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislators in Albany, New York, her recognition reflects more than professional achievement.
It underscores the impact of disciplined leadership, resilience through rebuilding seasons, and a forward thinking sustainability strategy that positions Eyeris Industries for continued expansion.
With a clear vision for multi state growth and a commitment to mentoring the next generation through her Teach Back vs. Give Back philosophy, Williams continues to build not just infrastructure, but lasting legacy.
