On Monday, September 22, 2025, Atlanta’s Regal Cinema hosted the highly anticipated screening of Netflix’s original film Ruth and Boaz. Produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin, the film officially premieres September 26 and offers a contemporary retelling of the beloved biblical love story.

Set in rural Tennessee, the story follows Ruth, portrayed by Serayah McNeil, a gifted singer returning home after tragedy, and Boaz, played by Tyler Lepley, the devoted owner of a struggling garage. The narrative unfolds through a rich gospel-blues soundtrack, weaving together themes of faith, forgiveness, and resilience in a way that feels both timeless and refreshingly modern.
