In a major move that blends sports culture, streetwear, and purpose-driven partnership, the Atlanta Dream and Cash App just made history with the debut of a first-of-its-kind WNBA statement court. Center court now reads loud and clear: “Pay Some Respect to Women’s Sports.” This bold visual drops May 22 at State Farm Arena as the Dream face off against the Indiana Fever for their 2025 home opener.

This isn’t just a design move—it’s a cultural statement. The court was created in collaboration with Playa Society, the unapologetic woman-owned streetwear brand founded by designer Esther Wallace, known for pushing representation for women in sports.

But it doesn’t stop at center court.

The statement lives beyond the game—on the team’s practice jerseys and in a new limited-edition retail collection blending Playa Society’s signature boldness with Cash App’s vibrant aesthetic. Fans can shop the collection at playasociety.com and at the Dream’s official retail store, with pieces ranging from $45 to $180.

“This partnership is more than a brand alignment—it’s a movement,” said Morgan Shaw Parker, Atlanta Dream President & COO.

“From the hardwood to the streetwear space, we’re setting a new standard for how teams and brands show up for women in sports. This court is about giving credit where it’s long overdue.”

After the May 22 game, the statement court will be donated to a local youth organization, ensuring the next generation of girls sees what’s possible—front and center.

And because community is always top priority, Cash App is showing love to the fans, too. Cardholders will get 20% off merch and concessions at Gateway Center Arena all season long, plus the same discount on-site at State Farm Arena during the home opener. Expect a special halftime performance that continues the theme of celebration and respect.

“This court is about energy. Culture. Elevating what’s been overlooked,” said Catherine Ferdon, Chief Marketing Officer at Cash App.

“We’re proud to stand beside the Atlanta Dream and Playa Society to amplify women’s sports and invest directly in the Atlanta community.”

This is more than a sponsorship. It’s a new playbook—redefining how brands engage with women’s sports through intentional design, culture-first storytelling, and real investment.

The Dream’s home opener airs nationally on Amazon Prime and locally on Peachtree TV.
