From surviving the darkest valleys to becoming a beacon of hope, award-winning gospel recording artist Trent Gaddison continues to inspire the masses with his electrifying single "Shout it Out"and his empowering debut book You Got This – 7 Day Kickstart Into Your Next.

Hailing from New Iberia, Louisiana, Trent is a husband, father, minister, and creative force who has overcome battles with depression and anxiety to become a voice of restoration and redemption.

In this exclusive Q&A, Trent opens up about his personal journey, his passion for music and ministry, and his unwavering mission to uplift others through every gift God has given him.

Q: Congratulations on your latest single "Shout It Out." What inspired this powerful anthem?

Trent: Thank you! "Shout It Out" was birthed during a time when I realized how important it is to speak life, even in the midst of chaos. With everything going on in the world—post-pandemic struggles, personal battles, and uncertainty—I wanted to create a song that reminded people that God is still God, and He’s still good. Sometimes you just have to open your mouth and shout out your faith, your praise, your breakthrough.

Q: Your music has reached so many people. How would you describe your mission as a gospel artist?

Trent: My mission is simple—reach hearts and change lives. I want to speak to people who are broken, who feel unseen or unheard. My goal is to be a vessel that reminds them they’re not alone and that redemption is real. I know what it feels like to be in the dark, but I also know what it means to be set free. Music is my way of spreading that light.

Q: You’ve been open about your personal journey with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. What gave you the strength to keep going?

Trent: Honestly, it was Christ. I hit a point in my life where I was ready to give up, but God stepped in and reminded me who I was and whose I was. When I fully embraced His love and grace, that’s when the healing began. And from that moment, I knew I had to share my testimony to help others break free too.

Q: In addition to music, you’re also a published author. Tell us about your book, You Got This – 7 Day Kickstart Into Your Next.

Trent: That book came from a very real place. I had to start encouraging myself, day by day, and You Got This became the framework I used. It’s a 7-day devotional-style guide to help people refocus, rebuild, and reignite their faith and vision for the future. It’s not just a book—it’s a reminder that what God has for you is still within reach, no matter where you’re starting from.

Q: What message do you hope people take away from your journey and your work?

Trent: That your past doesn’t disqualify you. That the valley isn’t the end. And that with God, your “next” can be greater than anything you’ve ever experienced. Whether through a song, a book, or a conversation—I want people to walk away feeling hopeful, empowered, and loved.

Q: What’s next for Trent Gaddison?

Trent: I’m continuing to write, create, and serve. More music is definitely coming, and I’m excited to pour into more people through teaching, ministry, and events. Wherever God leads, I’m ready—and I’m bringing every gift He gave me with me.

Whether through the soul-stirring lyrics of "Shout It Out" or the transformative words of You Got This, Trent Gaddison is living proof that healing and purpose can emerge from pain.

His authenticity, faith, and creativity make him a powerful voice for this generation.

As he continues to pour into others through his music and message, one thing is clear—Trent isn’t just shouting it out, he’s leading others into their next with boldness and belief.
