Paris to Pittsburgh
Airing this week on NAT GEO TV is the new documentary PARIS TO PITTSBURGH.

Produced by Bloomberg Philanthropies and RadicalMedia, the film brings to life the impassioned efforts of individuals who are battling the most severe threats of climate change in their own backyards. Set against the national debate over the United States’ energy future – and the Trump administration’s explosive decision to exit the Paris Climate Agreement – the film captures what’s at stake for communities around the country, and the inspiring ways Americans are responding.
Bonus – the film is directed by Sidney Beaumont (What Happened, Miss Simone?) and Mike Bonfiglio (May It Last: A Portrait of the Avett Brothers, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman).
The title comes from President Trump’s statement that he was ‘elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris’ when discussing the Paris Agreement.

PARIS TO PITTSBURGH shows the massive impact that climate change has on regions across the US. Devastating and irreversible, massive wildfires, hurricanes, droughts, snowfalls, tornadoes have ravaged communities. These changes have inspired and empowered every day people to create changes that can make a massive impact on their world.
Featured projects include private, sustainable efforts in tech, energy and agriculture in Iowa and Puerto Rico, as well as government-run clean energy programs in Pennsylvania, Florida, and California. College students focused on clean energy. Entrepreneurs changing how we deliver food across the US and rebuild Puerto Rico’s energy grid.
One incredible statistic – U.S. emissions are on track to decline 2/3rds f the way to our original national pledge under the Paris Agreement!
