Von Vargas Releases New Album 'Cocked Crowns'

Baltimore-based lyricist and producer Von Vargas is redefining what it means to lead through music with the release of his latest body of work. Composed of 10 tracks as well as two bonus cuts, Cocked Crowns includes features from TolumiDE, Q.U.A.N., The Boy Blesst, Iconthagod, Chrystal Lene, Shannon Ramsey, Jasmine Thomas, and Josh Lay.
The centerpiece of the cohesive collection of songs is an emotionally charged short film titled "Influence of A Crown" that amplifies the albumโs themes of identity, resilience, and purpose. Additional vocals come compliments of Elyscia and Cherlita.
With soulful production and lyrics grounded in truth, Cocked Crowns invites listeners to walk in their identity while reclaiming their purpose. The album and film create a dynamic experience rooted in healing for communities often shaped by trauma.

โThis project is me communicating that if we knew that we were royalty, we wouldn't hate on each other. If we saw each other as kings and queens, we wouldn't stick each other up, steal from each other, or murder each other; all these different things, all the negative, nasty things that we do to each other when we don't understand who we are.
It's about me encouraging people about who they are, who we are, through life and through lifeโs journey.
