Adam was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Right out of high school, Adam went to work for his family's business, the American Dye House, a denim dyeing and distressing facility. His father was diagnosed with cancer at the time and two years later passed away. At 20-years-old, Adam had to be in charge of the family business.

In 2012, Adam launched his own brand, Cotton Citizen . His goal was to create a premium brand that was more niche in detail towards customers. Every step of the supply chain is 100% in the United Statesand everything is put together in-house. Through the brand, Adam wanted a way to communicate his family's factory story and their passion for manufacturing quality clothing in Los Angeles. Starting off with just T-Shirts, Adam has expanded to include hoodies, dresses, and jeans and opened up a flagship store on Melrose ave .
