D$avage Drops New Single “2am on Highland” — A Lyrical Freestyle with Edge and Elegance
– 1 min read
Emerging rap artist D$avage is back with heat, dropping his second single from the highly anticipated “007 The Mixtape.” Titled “2am on Highland,” the track is an electrifying, edgy freestyle that showcases D$avage’s lyrical finesse and effortless flow over a sample-driven beat.
Inspired by Drake’s iconic Timestamp series, “2am on Highland” brings that late-night introspection with a raw, street-smart energy. D$avage laces the track with clever wordplay, sharp rhyme schemes, and a cadence that dances on the beat with purpose. The track also features a hauntingly smooth Whitney Houston sample, adding a layer of soulful contrast to the hard-hitting bars.
This release proves D$avage isn’t just another rapper on the come-up — he’s carving his own lane, one timestamp at a time. With “007 The Mixtape” on the horizon, “2am on Highland” sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be a standout project in 2025.
