Antoine Scott has been on the move, with recent comedy performances and the Stellars Celebrity Basketball Game giving the comedian plenty of opportunities to do what he loves — entertain and make people laugh.

Now, with those events behind him, Scott is looking ahead to his next opportunity: hosting the SHEEN Awards pre-show on September 16th. For Scott, the moment represents another chance to expand his role in entertainment while continuing to live out the dream that started with comedy.

In a recent interview, conducted at the Stellar Awards Celebrity Game, Scott expounded on his thoughts and feelings centering around everything he has going on these days.

“Personally, I’m living my dream,” Scott says. “Professionally, I’m still in the game of comedy in different ways, and it’s wonderful.”

Scott says one of the biggest lessons his journey has taught him is to stop worrying so much about what's next and appreciate the present.

“Just enjoy the ride,” he says. “The places you go, people you meet and the lives you will touch. Live in the present.”

That mindset continues to fuel his excitement for performing. Even after years of comedy, walking onto a stage in front of a new audience still gives him a challenge: seeing whether he can connect with them and get them laughing.

Comedy Meets Hosting

While Scott is comfortable on the comedy stage, he understands that hosting the SHEEN Awards pre-show requires a different approach.

“A SHEEN event is not a comedy show,” he explains. “Yes, I’m entertaining the audience, but not so as telling jokes or storytelling.”

Instead, Scott plans to bring energy, fun and personality to the experience while making sure the audience enjoys themselves.

What can they expect?

A good time, fun, laughter, an awesome environment and lots of ENERGY.

Scott's journey has also taught him about some of the realities behind the entertainment business. When asked what has surprised him most, he points to the politics that can come with comedy — something that can be easy to overlook when your original goal is simply to make people laugh.

Still, Scott remains focused on the positive side of the journey.

He describes himself as loyal and a good person who wants what's best for others, using laughter as a way to connect and impact people.

Looking beyond the SHEEN Awards, Scott has no plans to slow down.

“I’m hitting as many stages as I can and keep spreading the laughter,” he says.

For Antoine Scott, the next stage is simply another opportunity to do what he loves — connect with people, bring the energy and leave them with something to laugh about.
